Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and arrange the pieces on a plate or platter.
  3. Coat the chicken with olive oil and then season both sides with the prepared seasoning mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 415°F (210°C).
  5. Arrange the chicken, skin side down, in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry the chicken for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken and air fry for an additional 4-5 minutes. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer. If the chicken pieces are larger, you may need to cook them for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
