  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the unsalted butter in a 9×13-inch baking pan and put it in the oven to melt as it heats up.
  2. In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, flour, salt, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  3. Once the butter is melted, pour the batter into the hot baking dish over the butter.
  4. Bake for 22-27 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the pancake is puffed up.
  5. Sprinkle the baked German pancake generously with powdered sugar, maple syrup, butter, or your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • The pancake will puff up during baking and may deflate a little once removed from the oven. This is normal!
  • Customize your toppings: powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or syrup all make great additions.
