A fun and delicious twist on the classic smash burger, transformed into a taco with melted cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles, and Big Mac sauce – a perfect fusion of flavors!

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 8 tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 16 slices sharp cheddar cheese (ultra-thin slices work best)
  • 8 small flour tortillas (taco size)
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  • ¼ cup white onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup hamburger pickles
  • 1 recipe Big Mac Sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions and place them on the hot griddle, a few inches apart.
  3. Use a burger press or a large flat spatula to smash the beef as flat as possible. Remove the press and season the burgers with seasoned salt and black pepper.
  4. Place a thin slice of cheddar cheese on each patty, then top with a taco-sized flour tortilla. Let it cook for 30 to 45 seconds, allowing the cheese to melt and the tortilla to crisp slightly.
  5. Carefully slide a spatula under the burger and flip it over so the tortilla is now on the griddle. Season the burger with more salt and pepper, then top with another slice of cheese.
  6. Once the cheese has melted, remove the burger from the griddle.
  7. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, finely chopped onion, pickles, and a generous drizzle of Big Mac sauce.
  8. Fold the tortilla into a taco and enjoy right away!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can grill the tortillas slightly before using them to make them more crispy.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, add jalapeños to the toppings.
  • Ensure the ground beef is well-seasoned to make the taco’s flavor pop.
