Ingredients
Flatbread
- 1 recipe flatbread dough (homemade)
Toppings
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
- 3 Tbsp hot sauce
- 4 Tbsp ranch dressing
- 2 Tbsp green onion, sliced
Buffalo Chicken
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breasts, cubed
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
Instructions
- Prepare Flatbread Dough: Make your homemade flatbread dough according to your favorite recipe and set aside to rest for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, allowing the dough to rise and develop flavor.
- Cook and Cube Chicken: Pan-sear the chicken breasts until cooked through, then cut into small, bite-sized pieces to ensure even distribution on the flatbread.
- Toss Chicken in Hot Sauce: In a bowl, mix the cubed chicken with 1/4 cup hot sauce to infuse it with spicy buffalo flavor.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
- Assemble Flatbread: Place the rolled-out flatbread dough onto the prepared baking sheet, evenly sprinkle shredded cheese over it, and top with the buffalo chicken mixture.
- Bake Flatbread: Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely and the flatbread edges are crispy and golden.
- Add Fresh Toppings: Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle sliced green onions over the top. Drizzle ranch dressing and additional hot sauce to taste for extra flavor and moisture.
- Serve and Enjoy: Slice the flatbread and serve immediately for best taste and texture.
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier flatbread, add more hot sauce to the chicken before baking.
- Feel free to use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to save time.
- For a crispier crust, you can pre-bake the flatbread dough for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
- Substitute ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing if desired.
- Make sure to slice the green onions thinly for a mild, fresh onion flavor.
