Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 sandwich buns, buttered and toasted
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground chicken. Drain any excess grease.
- Season and Simmer: Add Cajun seasoning, tomato sauce, soy sauce, and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the mixture thickens.
- Toast the Buns: Butter the sandwich buns and toast them in a pan until golden and crispy.
- Add Cheese: Stir the shredded cheddar cheese into the chicken mixture until fully melted and smooth.
- Assemble the Sloppy Joes: Spoon the cheesy chicken mixture onto the toasted buns and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the Spice: You can control the heat level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning to taste.
- Extra Toppings: Top with sliced pickles or a dollop of sour cream for extra flavor!
