Ingredients
- 2 oz (60g) smoked salmon
- 2 slices of bread
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and freshly cracked pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped scallion
- 1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake until toasted, about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and let the bread cool completely. Once cooled, rub the garlic clove on the surface of each slice. Alternatively, you can toast the bread in a toaster.
- In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To assemble: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the cooled bread slices. Top each toast with smoked salmon slices.
- Garnish with chopped scallions and black sesame seeds, then serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, you can mix the garlic into the cream cheese spread instead of rubbing it onto the bread.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for a larger crowd or event.
- For extra flavor, try adding a few capers or a drizzle of olive oil on top before serving.
