Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground chicken
- 2 ½ tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- Hamburger buns (for serving)
- Lettuce, tomato, and red onions (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: In a medium bowl, combine the ground chicken, mayonnaise, parsley, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Use your hands to mix until everything is well combined (don’t over-mix).
- Form the Patties: Shape the mixture into 4 patties, each about ¾ inch thick. Press down in the middle of each patty with your thumb to prevent puffing up during cooking.
- Chill the Patties: Transfer the patties to the refrigerator and let them chill for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
- Cook the Burgers: Preheat a grill to medium-high heat or heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brush both sides of the patties with olive oil and also brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Grill or Pan-Cook: Place the chicken burgers on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on the first side until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes on the other side. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F. If needed, reduce the heat slightly and continue cooking until fully done.
- Serve: Serve the burgers hot with your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, and red onions, and place them on hamburger buns.
