  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (OliveNation)
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Pasta

  • 12 oz gluten free farfalle pasta

Sauce

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp dry shallots
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Gluten Free 1:1 Flour
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup pasta water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Boil Pasta: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the gluten-free farfalle according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Mix Chicken Seasonings: In a small bowl, combine paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pound Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts lightly to thin them for even cooking.
  4. Season Chicken: Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with the prepared seasoning mixture.
  5. Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until hot.
  6. Sear Chicken: Place the chicken breasts into the skillet and sear for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  7. Simmer Chicken: Flip the chicken once seared, reduce heat to medium-low, cover with a lid, and cook for 10-12 minutes more until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Rest Chicken: Remove the chicken from the skillet and transfer to a cutting board to rest.
  9. Melt Butter: In the same skillet, add the butter and allow it to melt completely over medium heat.
  10. Add Seasonings to Sauce: Stir in dry shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, simmering the mixture for 1 minute.
  11. Add Flour: Sprinkle in the gluten-free flour and stir well, scraping the bottom of the pan to combine.
  12. Add Broth and Cream: Slowly pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, whisking continuously to form a smooth, creamy sauce.
  13. Add Parmesan: Stir in shredded Parmesan cheese until fully melted and incorporated.
  14. Simmer Sauce: Continue cooking the sauce, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired thickness.
  15. Toss Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat evenly with the sauce.
  16. Adjust Sauce Consistency: Add pasta water one tablespoon at a time to thin the sauce as needed.
  17. Slice Chicken: Slice the rested chicken breasts into strips or bite-size pieces.
  18. Combine and Serve: Add the sliced chicken to the pasta and gently stir to combine. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • To ensure the chicken cooks evenly and remains juicy, pound it slightly before seasoning and cooking.
  • Use gluten-free farfalle or your preferred gluten-free pasta to keep the dish gluten-free.
  • Adjust the amount of pasta water added to the sauce based on your preferred sauce consistency.
  • Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for up to 3 days; reheat gently to avoid curdling.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding fresh parsley or basil as a garnish before serving.
