Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (or ½-1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
  • 2 bags black tea (caffeinated or decaffeinated)

Milk & Sweeteners

  • 1 cup oat milk (or your favorite plant-based milk)
  • 1-3 teaspoons maple syrup (or other sweetener to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Infuse Cinnamon: Add the water and cinnamon sticks (or ground cinnamon) to a small saucepan. Cover and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the cinnamon simmer gently for about one minute to release its flavor.
  2. Steep Tea: Turn off the heat and add the black tea bags to the saucepan. Allow them to steep for 5-7 minutes to develop a rich and aromatic brew. Then, remove the tea bags carefully.
  3. Add Milk and Sweeteners: Pour in the oat milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract into the saucepan. Turn the heat on low and warm the mixture until it becomes steamy hot, ensuring it doesn’t boil to maintain the delicate flavors.
