  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook the Linguine: Boil the linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Season the cubed chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer and thicken for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Combine Pasta and Chicken: Add the cooked chicken and linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta and chicken in the creamy sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, and lemon juice. If the sauce is too thick, adjust the consistency with the reserved pasta water.
  5. Serve and Garnish: Garnish with additional parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
  • You can swap the linguine for your favorite pasta shape.
  • For extra richness, you can adjust the cream and Parmesan to your liking.
