A fun and cheesy dish made with a savory pie crust, ground beef, creamy cheese sauce, and crunchy Doritos. This easy-to-make Dorito Pie is packed with flavor and perfect for family dinners or game day!

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 (9″) refrigerated pie crust
  • 3 cups Doritos, broken and divided in half
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ white onion, diced
  • 1 ounce packet of taco seasoning
  • 10 ounce can Rotel (seasoned diced tomatoes and green chilies)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 6 ounces (about 1 ½ cups) shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9½” pie pan (or similar) with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion, crumbling the beef as it cooks.
  3. Once the beef is cooked through and the onions are tender, drain any excess grease from the pan.
  4. Add the taco seasoning and Rotel to the meat, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the cream cheese and sour cream to the skillet and stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined. Remove from heat.
  6. Press the pie crust into the bottom of the prepared pie pan, leaving a 1” border around the rim. Optionally, shape the top edge of the crust with your thumb or a spoon.
  7. Pour half of the crushed Doritos onto the pie crust, spreading them evenly and pressing gently into the crust.
  8. Pour the creamy meat mixture over the Doritos layer.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the meat layer.
  10. Spread the remaining Doritos on top of the cheese layer.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add additional toppings like sliced jalapeños, black olives, or fresh cilantro for extra flavor.
  • If you prefer, ground turkey or chicken can be used in place of the beef for a lighter version.
  • This pie can be customized with your favorite flavor of Doritos or additional seasonings if you like more spice.
