Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds broccoli, cut into florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 ½ teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ – ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 400°F (204°C) and prepare a baking sheet by spraying it evenly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the broccoli coating. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, garam masala, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Add the broccoli florets to the bowl and toss thoroughly to evenly coat each piece with the spice and oil mixture.
- Roast the broccoli. Spread the coated broccoli florets in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the broccoli edges are browned and the florets have developed a crispy texture.
- Serve. Remove from the oven and serve warm as a flavorful side dish complementing a variety of meals.
Notes
- For crispier and more caramelized broccoli, you can extend the roasting time beyond 22 minutes, depending on your oven and preference.
- Adjust the salt and honey amounts to suit your taste and dietary needs.
- This dish pairs well with Indian main courses or can be enjoyed as a healthy vegetarian side.
