These Gooey Funfetti Bars are a colorful and fun dessert made with a simple funfetti cake mix, creamy frosting, and plenty of sprinkles. A perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • For the Bars:
  • 1 box funfetti cake mix
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • For the Icing:
  • ½ stick softened butter
  • ½ block softened cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • Sprinkles (as desired)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the funfetti cake mix, oil, and eggs. Do not follow the directions on the box. Stir until a dough forms.
  2. Press the cake mixture into an 8×8-inch pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the bars at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes. Once baked, let the cake cool completely. If you’re in a hurry, refrigerate it to speed up the cooling process.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, softened cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Add sprinkles to the icing as desired and mix until well combined.
  6. Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the icing evenly on top of the cake.
  7. Cut into bars and enjoy this fun and gooey treat!
