Ingredients
- 2 pounds seedless green grapes (about 2.5 cups)
- 2 pounds seedless red grapes (about 2.5 cups)
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 ½ tablespoons pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Wash and dry the seedless grapes thoroughly. Set them aside to dry completely.
- In a stand mixer or with a handheld mixer, cream together the softened cream cheese and sour cream on medium-high speed for about 2 minutes.
- Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract, and continue mixing on medium-high speed for another 30 seconds until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the green and red grapes together to evenly combine.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Use a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to stir the grapes and the dressing together, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Cover the grape salad tightly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Just before serving, remove the salad from the fridge and sprinkle the top with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
Notes
- This salad is best served chilled, so make sure to let it sit in the refrigerator before serving.
- Feel free to substitute the pecans with other nuts such as walnuts or almonds for a different crunch.
- If you prefer a sweeter version, add more brown sugar on top before serving.
