This vibrant Green Goddess Feta Dip combines creamy feta cheese, avocado, and a medley of fresh herbs like dill, mint, basil, and chives, blended into a smooth, tangy, and herbaceous spread perfect for entertaining or snacking. Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s a fresh and flavorful dip that pairs beautifully with crackers, vegetables, or bread.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 5 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh chives (or green onions)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water (plus more if needed for consistency)
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients. Add the feta cheese, garlic cloves, peeled avocado, lemon juice, fresh dill, mint, basil, chives, and Dijon mustard into a food processor. Pulse briefly to start combining the ingredients and break them down evenly.
  2. Emulsify. With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in 1/4 cup of olive oil to emulsify the mixture until fully combined and smooth. Then, add 1/4 cup of water gradually (or more if necessary) to reach your preferred dip consistency.
  3. Season the Dip. Taste the dip and add sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper as needed. Blend briefly again if necessary to mix in the seasoning evenly.
  4. Serve. Serve the dip immediately with your favorite dippers such as vegetables, crackers, or pita bread. Alternatively, transfer the dip to a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 3 days to allow the flavors to develop further.

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor impact in this dip.
  • Adjust the water quantity to achieve your desired thickness; more water will make the dip smoother and more spreadable.
  • This dip keeps well refrigerated but is best enjoyed within 3 days to maintain freshness.
  • Try serving with raw veggies, toasted pita, or crunchy crackers for a perfect appetizer or snack.
