Instructions
- Prepare the Cereal: Place the dry rice Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl, ensuring there is ample space for stirring and coating the cereal uniformly.
- Melt Chocolate and Peanut Butter: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each session until the mixture is smooth and fully melted without lumps.
- Coat the Cereal: Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture evenly over the cereal in the large bowl. Use a rubber or silicone spatula to gently stir and coat all the cereal pieces thoroughly, taking care not to break the cereal.
- Add Protein Powder: Sprinkle the vanilla vegan protein powder evenly over the coated cereal. Gently stir the mixture again until all pieces are completely covered with the protein powder for an extra protein boost.
- Cool and Set: Allow the puppy chow to cool at room temperature until the coating firms up. For faster setting, spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and place it in the refrigerator or freezer briefly to solidify the chocolate coating before serving.
