Mini-Mac Sliders are a fun and delicious take on the classic Big Mac, featuring small smashed and griddled all-beef patties topped with American cheese, homemade mac sauce, shredded iceberg lettuce, and pickle slices, all served on soft sesame seed slider buns. Perfectly portioned for parties or casual meals.

  • Total Time: 23 mins
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons French dressing
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced white onion
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

For the Burgers:

  • pounds ground beef, 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Serving:

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Pickle slices
  • 6 slices American cheese, cut into fourths (2 squares per burger)
  • 12 slider buns
  • Ghee spray, optional
  • Toasted sesame seeds, optional

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce: Combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, French dressing, finely minced white onion, white vinegar, sugar, and kosher salt in a bowl. Mix well, then refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Prepare the burgers: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with kosher salt and black pepper. Mix gently by hand until just combined. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions, each about 2 ounces.
  3. Form the patties: Place each portion between two pieces of wax paper and use the flat bottom of a drinking glass to press and flatten the meat into thin patties. Transfer patties to a platter or cutting board lined with wax paper and repeat for all portions.
  4. Cook the patties: Preheat a griddle to 350°F. Once hot, cook the patties in batches if needed. Cook each patty for 3 minutes on the first side. Flip the patties, top each with 2 squares of American cheese (half a slice), and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until cheese melts and beef is cooked through. Transfer cooked patties to a plate or sheet pan and continue with remaining patties.
  5. Assemble the sliders: Lightly mist the slider buns’ tops with ghee spray if desired and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Spread a spoonful of the homemade mac sauce on the inside of each bottom bun. Top with a cheeseburger patty, shredded iceberg lettuce, and pickle slices. Place the top bun over the assembled ingredients and serve immediately.

  • Nutrition Disclaimer: All nutrition information is an estimate and should be used as a general guideline only.
  • For juicier patties, avoid overmixing the beef mixture.
  • Adjust the seasoning to taste, especially salt and pepper.
  • Ghee spray and toasted sesame seeds for buns are optional but add extra flavor and texture.
  • Sliders are best served fresh off the griddle for optimal taste and texture.
