This Mint Chocolate Chip Fudge is a creamy, indulgent treat that combines the refreshing taste of mint with rich semi-sweet chocolate chips. Infused with white chocolate and a hint of peppermint, this easy-to-make fudge is perfect for a sweet snack or holiday dessert!

  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes (including chilling)
  • Yield: 32 pieces

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (or 1½ teaspoons mint extract)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 to 3 drops gel-based green food coloring
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided (reserve a handful to sprinkle on top)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside. Place the mini chocolate chips in the freezer to chill while preparing the fudge mixture.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, for a total of 1½ minutes until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Add Flavor and Color: Stir in the peppermint extract (or mint extract), vanilla extract, and green food coloring. Mix until the color is uniform throughout.
  4. Cool the Mixture: Set the fudge mixture aside, stirring every 5 minutes until it cools to room temperature. The mixture may begin to crust over the top but will smooth out as you stir. Let it cool for about 20 minutes or until the mixture no longer feels warm to the touch.
  5. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Once the fudge mixture has cooled, gently fold in most of the mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, reserving a couple of tablespoons to sprinkle on top.
  6. Assemble the Fudge: Immediately pour the fudge mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the reserved mini chocolate chips over the top.
  7. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into pieces. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of peppermint extract based on your taste preferences—start with ½ teaspoon and add more if desired.
  • For a festive touch, you can top the fudge with crushed candy canes or add other fun toppings like mini marshmallows.
  • Make sure the fudge is completely chilled before cutting into pieces to get clean, even slices.
