Ingredients
Chicken
- 1 1/2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed into 1/2-inch pieces
Seasoning
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Cooking
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the paprika, poultry seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper thoroughly to create a balanced spice mix.
- Coat chicken: Sprinkle the prepared seasoning evenly over the cubed chicken pieces and toss well until all pieces are coated uniformly on all sides for maximum flavor.
- Heat oil and cook chicken: Warm the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken pieces to the pan and cook them for 5-6 minutes, allowing them to brown and develop flavor.
- Turn and finish cooking: Stir and flip the chicken pieces over in the pan, cooking them an additional 3-4 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside.
- Add lemon juice and serve: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the cooked chicken to add brightness and tang, then serve immediately for a delicious, well-seasoned dish.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs if you prefer darker meat, adjusting cooking time accordingly.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for food safety.
