Ingredients
- For the crust:
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- For the cream layer:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
- For the peach topping:
- 1 (6 oz) box peach gelatin (Jell-O)
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 2 cups sliced fresh or canned peaches (drained if using canned)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture firmly into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping until fully combined. Spread evenly over the cooled crust, making sure to seal the edges. Chill for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, dissolve peach gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water, then add sliced peaches. Let cool to room temperature, then pour gently over the cream layer. Refrigerate until set, at least 2–3 hours.
- Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- If using canned peaches, make sure to drain them thoroughly to avoid excess liquid in the topping.
- For a twist, try using other fruits like strawberries or raspberries with a corresponding gelatin flavor.
- This dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator for easy entertaining.
