Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil and honey. If the honey is too firm, microwave the bowl for 15-20 seconds to soften it. Then, whisk in the crushed red pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss them in the honey mixture until evenly coated.
- Transfer the Brussels sprouts to the prepared baking sheet, placing them cut side down. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the sprouts, and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until they are cooked through and crispy.
- Serve hot and enjoy your sweet and spicy roasted Brussels sprouts!
Notes
- If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
- For an extra crispy texture, try broiling the Brussels sprouts for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
- This dish pairs well with roasted chicken, pork, or a grain-based salad.
