- 6 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1½ teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to create your seasoning blend.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. Place in a large bowl and coat thoroughly with the seasoning blend.
- Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F. Lightly coat the basket with cooking spray or brush with oil.
- Arrange the chicken legs in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Use a digital meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, pat the chicken very dry before seasoning.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to make it milder or spicier.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350°F.
