Ingredients
- 2 lb hot turkey sausage
- 1 (30-32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook the turkey sausage until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, toss together the tater tots, cooked sausage, and both cheeses. Pour the mixture into the prepared 9×13-inch pan.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the tater tot mixture.
- If making ahead, cover and refrigerate at this point until ready to bake.
- Bake uncovered for 60–70 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- This casserole can be made in advance and refrigerated or frozen for later.
- If baking after refrigerating, you may need to add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
- To bake from frozen, thaw completely and bake as directed.
- To reheat a frozen casserole, thaw completely, cover with aluminum foil, and bake at 350°F for 30–40 minutes until heated through.
