Instructions
- Prepare the Spread: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, shredded cheddar cheese, grated carrots, and plain yogurt. Mix thoroughly until a smooth, creamy spread forms.
- Apply the Filling: Lay each whole grain tortilla flat and evenly distribute half of the cream cheese spread onto the center of each tortilla. Use a knife or spatula to gently spread the filling, leaving about an inch of space around the edges clear of toppings to facilitate rolling.
- Add Toppings: Top each tortilla spread with ½ cup of fresh spinach followed by 3 slices of deli turkey meat, evenly layered over the filling.
- Roll and Slice: Carefully roll each tortilla tightly from one edge to the other, ensuring the filling stays inside. Once rolled, slice each tortilla roll into 6 equal pieces to create bite-sized roll ups.
- Chill for Best Results: For optimal texture and ease of eating, wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This chilling step helps the cream cheese spread firm up and keeps the roll ups intact. This step is optional if you prefer to eat immediately.
