This air-fried corn on the cob, tossed in a homemade Cajun butter seasoning, delivers bold, spicy, and buttery flavors. A perfect side dish or snack that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 18 pieces

Ingredients

  • For the Corn:
    • 6 ears of corn, husked and cleaned
    • Oil spray (olive oil or avocado oil)
    • 6 tablespoons butter
  • For the Cajun Seasoning:
    • 1 tablespoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • ¾ teaspoon dried thyme
    • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
    • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
    • ¾ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
    • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Husk and clean each ear of corn thoroughly. Cut each ear into 3–4 bite-sized pieces (about 1.5 inches each).
  2. Lightly spray the corn pieces with oil and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (if required by your model) and cook the corn for 5 minutes.
  4. Flip the corn, spritz the underside with oil, and cook for another 5 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Continue cooking for an additional 1–2 minutes per side until the corn is golden brown, rotating as needed (total cook time: ~13–14 minutes).
  6. While the corn is cooking, melt the butter in the microwave for 10–15 seconds. Whisk in the Cajun seasoning until smooth.
  7. Once the corn is cooked, transfer it to the bowl with the Cajun butter. Toss well to coat the corn evenly. Use a spoon or basting brush to ensure the seasoning gets into every crevice.
  8. Serve warm with ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • Adjust the cayenne pepper based on your spice preference. If you prefer a milder version, reduce or skip it.
  • This recipe works great as a side dish or a snack, perfect for a BBQ or casual dinner.
  • For extra crunch, try cooking the corn a little longer, but keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
