These Air Fryer Brie Stuffed Dates are a delightful and elegant appetizer featuring sweet Medjool dates filled with creamy brie cheese and crunchy walnuts, all perfectly warmed and softened in the air fryer. Finished with a drizzle of honey, flaky sea salt, fresh sage, and an optional touch of red pepper flakes, this recipe is quick, easy, and sure to impress at any gathering.

  • Total Time: 9 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 Natural Delights® Whole Medjool Dates
  • 4 oz brie cheese (cut into 12 small slices, about 1 tsp each)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Honey (for drizzling)
  • Flaky sea salt (for garnish)
  • Chopped sage or thyme (for garnish)
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and let it preheat to ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare the dates: Carefully split each date open and remove the pit to create a cavity for the filling.
  3. Stuff the dates: Place a slice of brie cheese inside each date and then gently push a few pieces of chopped walnuts into the cheese for added texture and flavor.
  4. Air fry the stuffed dates: Arrange the stuffed dates in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the brie cheese is softened and gooey.
  5. Finish and serve: Remove the dates from the air fryer, drizzle lightly with honey, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt, chopped sage (or thyme), and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overfill the dates to avoid cheese leaking out during cooking.
  • For a nuttier flavor, walnuts can be lightly toasted before chopping.
  • Substitute brie with camembert or cream cheese if preferred.
  • Adjust honey drizzle according to your desired sweetness level.
  • Serve immediately after cooking for warm, gooey cheese and optimal texture.
