Ingredients
Chicken Patties
- 1 lb ground chicken
- ⅓ cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 Tablespoons full-fat mayonnaise
- ½ Tablespoon garlic paste
- ½ Tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Cooking
- Olive oil or cooking spray (for greasing air fryer basket)
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, panko breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, garlic paste, onion powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, and pepper. Use your hand to gently mix everything until well combined, ensuring the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 6 to 8 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 1 cm thick. Press a shallow dent into the center of each patty to prevent puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (185°C). Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Cook Patties: Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket with the dimpled side facing up. Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Rest and Serve: Remove the patties from the air fryer and let them rest on a plate for 2 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve warm and enjoy your flavorful chicken patties.
Notes
- Ensure the patties are not too thick so they cook evenly in the air fryer.
- The dimple in the center helps the patties keep their shape and cook thoroughly.
- Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature for safety.
- Substitute panko breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
- These patties can be served with buns as chicken burgers or alongside salads and vegetables.
