Ingredients
Eggs
- 4 large eggs
Other
- Olive oil, for greasing ramekins
- Water, 3 tablespoons per egg (12 tablespoons total)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Prepare Ramekins: Lightly spray the inside of each ramekin with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Add Water and Eggs: Pour 3 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin, then carefully crack one egg into the water, making sure not to break the yolk.
- Air Fry the Eggs: Place all ramekins into the air fryer basket. Cook at 370°F for 6 to 8 minutes depending on your preferred yolk consistency — shorter for runnier yolks and longer for firmer ones.
- Remove and Serve: Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer. Use a rubber spatula or spoon to gently lift the poached eggs out of the ramekins without breaking them.
- Season: Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh eggs for the best texture and flavor.
- Adjust cooking time depending on how runny or firm you like your yolks.
- Be sure to use oven-safe ramekins that fit comfortably inside your air fryer basket.
- For extra flavor, garnish with chopped herbs like chives or parsley.
- Monitor the water level; if evaporated during cooking, add a bit more water for the next batch.
