Ingredients
Dough Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat works best)
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
For Cooking and Garnish
- 1 tablespoon butter for brushing
- Chopped parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Blend wet ingredients: In a blender or food processor, blend the cottage cheese and eggs until the mixture is completely smooth and silky, ensuring a creamy base for the dough.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt to create the dry mix.
- Form the dough: Pour the cottage cheese and egg mixture into the dry ingredients and gently stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Add garlic: Mix the minced garlic into the dough evenly to infuse flavor throughout the naan.
- Shape the dough: Lightly flour your hands and shape the dough into small balls about the size of a golf ball, then flatten each into an oval about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cook the naan: Heat a non-stick or cast iron pan over medium heat and brush it lightly with butter. Cook each naan for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and puffy.
- Finish and garnish: Brush the warm naan with more melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro before serving.
