Ingredients
Powder Blend
- 1/2 teaspoon reishi powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Blue Majik
- dash of cinnamon
- dash of ground ginger
- dash of pink Himalayan salt
Liquid and Sweeteners
- 1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon water, plus additional if needed to blend paste
- 1 cup milk of choice (unsweetened oat or coconut milk recommended)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
Optional Garnish
- Edible flowers, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine Powders: In a large mug, mix reishi powder, Blue Majik, cinnamon, ground ginger, and pink Himalayan salt. Use only a small dash for the spices and salt. Stir well. Add maple syrup and water, stirring until all powders dissolve completely, adding more water if necessary to create a smooth paste.
- Warm the Milk: Heat your choice of milk in a small pot over low to medium-low heat until it is warm and just about to simmer. Alternatively, heat the milk in the microwave in a separate mug for approximately 1 1/2 minutes.
- Combine Milk and Paste: Pour the warmed milk into the mug with the powder paste mixture and stir thoroughly. Add the vanilla flavoring and mix well.
- Froth the Milk (Optional): If you have a handheld frother, place it near the bottom of the mug to avoid splashing. Make sure the mug is large enough to accommodate frothing without overflow. Froth the milk gently for 20-30 seconds or until it reaches your preferred frothiness.
- Garnish: Sprinkle a small amount of Blue Majik on top and optionally decorate with dried edible flowers for a beautiful finish.
- Enjoy: Sip your calming Goodnight Moon Milk to relax and unwind before bed.
Notes
- Use only a small dash of spices and salt to avoid overpowering the delicate blue color and flavor.
- If the powder doesn’t dissolve easily, add a little more water to help blend it smoothly.
- Heating the milk low and slow helps preserve nutrients and prevents scorching.
- The frothing step is optional but adds a lovely texture and makes the drink feel more indulgent.
- Edible flowers are purely decorative and can be omitted if unavailable.
