Ingredients
Chicken Crust Ingredients
- 20 Ounces Canned Chicken (drained and rinsed well)
- 1 Egg
- 2/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
Dressing Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
- 1 Anchovy
- 3 Cloves Garlic
- 3/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Salad Ingredients
- 2 Heads Romaine Lettuce (washed and chopped)
- Parmesan Cheese (grated, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the chicken crust.
- Line Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside for the crust preparation.
- Prepare Crust: In a food processor, combine the canned chicken, egg, 2/3 cup parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pulse until the mixture is well combined into a uniform dough.
- Shape Pizza Crust: Transfer the chicken mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Using clean hands (oiled if sticky), press and shape the mixture into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Bake Pizza Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until it turns golden brown and feels firm to the touch.
- Remove from Oven and Cool: Take the crust out of the oven and allow it to cool completely to set.
- Prepare Dressing: While the crust bakes, add the plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, anchovy, garlic cloves, 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and ground black pepper into a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Wash and Chop Lettuce: Wash and chop the romaine lettuce, then place it in a large mixing bowl.
- Toss Salad: Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce and parmesan cheese, tossing thoroughly until the salad is evenly coated.
- Add Salad to Crust: Once the crust has cooled, spoon the prepared Caesar salad evenly on top of the crust.
- Garnish, Serve, and Enjoy: Sprinkle extra parmesan cheese and ground black pepper over the assembled pizza as garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Pressing the chicken crust thinly and evenly ensures that it cooks properly and crisps up nicely.
- Allowing the crust to cool before adding the salad prevents the lettuce from wilting prematurely.
- Use clean hands lightly oiled when shaping the crust to avoid sticking.
- Anchovy can be adjusted or omitted based on personal taste preferences.
- For a spicier flavor, add extra crushed red pepper flakes to the crust mixture.
